Crack the Case Level 1/2 Hybrid
Schedule: Friday, September 11, 8:30am – 5:00pm ET
Lunch and comfort breaks will be provided
Room Location: McColl Building, Koury Auditorium
Case interviews are no longer limited to consulting. Employers in technology, banking, healthcare, marketing, strategy, and other fields increasingly use cases to evaluate how you think, communicate, and solve unfamiliar business problems.
This highly interactive workshop combines the essential foundations of Crack the Case Level 1 with the more advanced practice of Level 2. You will learn how to approach a case with confidence, move beyond memorized frameworks, and build the communication, structuring, analytical, and integration skills needed for successful case interviews.
Throughout the day, you will participate in drills, breakout exercises, role plays, and live coaching. You will practice structuring case starts, solving market-sizing questions, interpreting charts, and communicating your conclusions clearly. The cases will include more challenging math and additional exhibits.
You will learn how to:
- Build case-specific structures instead of relying on generic issue trees
- Use stronger mini-hypotheses and case-specific language
- Extract meaningful insights from charts rather than simply describing the data
- Improve your estimation speed and mental-math confidence
- Lead the case with an advisor mindset instead of simply responding to prompts
- Synthesize your thinking clearly and end the case with prioritized recommendations
You will receive a detailed workbook, practical feedback throughout the session, and complimentary access to the Z-Plan platform, which includes additional cases, videos, drills, and resources you can continue using after the workshop.
You will also have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and hear honest, practical perspectives from Deborah Resnick, former Director of Professional Development for McKinsey’s Midwest offices.
Come prepared to participate, practice, and strengthen the skills you will need to navigate some of the most challenging interviews of your career!
